What's Happening In Real Estate
Avoid the Credit Report Blues
AVOID THE CREDIT REPORT BLUES.
Do you know whether there is an error on your credit report? There may be.
In fact, according to surveys, many people are surprised(or shocked) by at least on piece of information in their credit report. All it takes is one incorrect item to create an obstacle to getting the lowest mortgage rate possible, or even getting a mortgage at all. So it pays to find out what your report says about you before you shop for a new home.
How do you do that? Go to a major credit bureau that has a website which allows you to order your own credit report online for a reasonable fee. For example: Equifax(www.equifax.com).
If you discover an error, notify the credit bureau immediately. The are required by law to promptly make a correction.

Rethinking Your Garage For Alternative Purposes
RETHINKING YOUR GARAGE FOR ALTERNATIVE PURPOSES
As demand for optimal usage of home space increases, garages are coming under scrutiny for being underutilized. The combination of the pressure on every bit of real estate in today's ecomony, and the move away from one or more big cars, means homes no longer need excessive garages. These spaces have now become candidates for more diversified uses. In particular, a two-car garage could be sectioned off for any number of additional purposes - from a separate guestroom/apartment to a home theatre, studio, hobby/games room or children's play area. To make such a renovation, you will probably have to consider flooring, plumbing, electrical, insulation and HVAC system installations, as well as the replacement of the garage door with a wall and/or window. As part of the renovation, take into consideration the accommodation of an electricity outlet for future electric cars in the remaining garage area, and provide either standard 110 volt or a dedicated 220 volt electricity supply.
